Mum and I went to Cambodia for 3 days. Flew across from Saigon on Thursday afternoon, there were some beautiful bulging cotton wool clouds. On Friday morning we drove for 3 and a half hours to Kampong Thom to meet Srey Leak, Chan, Andrew and Louise. Cambodia has had a lot of rain and very big flooding. Most people know about Thailand’s floods and kids at my school are collecting money to help Thai people, but no one knows about the floods in Cambodia. All the cows and goats were on the side of the road when we drove because they had to be on higher land, where the roads are, because their fields are flooded. Most of the rice padis are flooded in there were parts when it looked like we were driving through a lake, but it was just the fields were flooded.

Chan, Srey Leak and I tried to catch fish with a plastic water bottle, rocks (to make a sinker) and rope we found for the line. But we didn’t get any. We needed a net like the local boy was using to trap fish.
The we all, including the adults, went on a bike ride for an hour to see the place where Pol Pot was born.
